The U.S. Senate on Monday confirmed Anne Hwang to the Central District of California bench, leaving five vacancies in California federal courts to fill as lawmakers plow ahead with Biden's judicial picks.
Hwang was confirmed on a 48-43 vote with nine senators absent as the Senate returned from the holiday break.
