Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom hired intellectual property litigator Bijal Vakil in its Palo Alto office on Thursday.
Vakil had previously worked as a partner and Taiwan desk lead at A&O Shearman for eight months beginning in March 2024. He previously worked with Allen & Overy as a partner and co-chair of its global technology industry group for more than three years until the firm’s 2023 merger with Shearman & Sterling. Vakil was based in Allen & Overy’s Silicon Valley office, which he helped open alongside its San Francisco office in 2021.
