The U.S. Senate on Friday confirmed two judges to California federal courts, marking what are expected to be the final judicial appointments of President Joe Biden's four-year tenure.

Benjamin Cheeks, a U.S. magistrate judge since July, will join the Southern District of California bench as an Article III judge after a partisan 49-47 vote. Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Serena Murillo was also confirmed 49-47 as a judge of the Central District.
