Keker, Van Nest & Peters, on behalf of Native American tribes in California, sued dozens of casinos last week for allegedly profiting from illegal gambling. The plaintiffs contend that the casinos unlawfully encroach upon their exclusive rights to offer "banked" casino card games such as pai gow, baccarat and blackjack.

On Tuesday, Keker filed a request for a temporary restraining order to prevent casinos from deleting surveillance video footage of gaming tables. A hearing before Judge Lauri Damrell is scheduled for 9 a.m. PT on Wednesday, Jan. 8, in the Sacramento Superior Court.
