Graduates of two out-of-state law schools posted the highest pass rates on California's July 2024 bar exam, the last to be administered in a format that required applicants to travel to convention centers and hotel ballrooms.

All 16 first-time test-takers from Cornell University and all 12 from the University of Minnesota passed the two-day exam, according to data released recently by the California state bar. The Big Red of Cornell and Golden Gophers of Minnesota join an exclusive group of alumni from schools that have lodged 100% pass rates in recent years, including the University of Texas at Austin, Duke, Notre Dame, Virginia, Vanderbilt and Yale.
