Hogan Lovells has hired intellectual property litigator David Perlson as a partner in its San Francisco office this week, luring him from Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan after more than 24 years.

“Hogan Lovells is attractive in a number of different ways, one of which is that it’s just a completely different model,” Perlson told The Recorder on Wednesday. “Quinn Emanuel was litigation only, whereas Hogan Lovells is a full-service firm with an incredibly diverse practice, and because of that, I think that there's a lot of exceptional opportunities out there to be exposed to clients that I might not have otherwise been exposed to, [and] types of work that I've otherwise not been exposed to and expand my horizons, both substantively and geographically.”
