Patreon, a San Francisco company that operates a subscription-based platform for creators to sell exclusive content and products to fans online, is facing a new lawsuit in California federal court that accuses it of sharing users' video viewing histories with Meta Platforms.

The complaint was filed by counsel from Gerstein Harrow on Monday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California in San Francisco and contends that Patreon unlawfully diverted subscribers' information, including the titles of prerecorded video content they streamed on the Patreon website, to Meta without their permission.
