Attorneys for 22 states and the District of Columbia asked a judge on Friday to force the Trump administration to comply with his order blocking a federal funding freeze.

In a 21-page request for emergency relief filed in federal court in Rhode Island, the attorneys general said the administration is still withholding grant money allocated by the Inflation Reduction Act and the Infrastructure Improvement and Jobs Act. The funds pay for local programs such as air pollution monitoring, rebates for electric heat pump purchases and rooftop solar installations.
