The Second Appellate District affirmed a trial court order denying a motion for preliminary injunction. The court held that a trial court did not abuse its discretion when it denied a motion for preliminary injunction by deputy sheriffs union to prevent a county from implementing a new policy forbidding deputies to engage in collective or group discussion with legal counsel or labor representatives following deputy-involved shootings.

The Association for Los Angeles Deputy Sheriffs (ALADS) represented the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s nonsupervisory deputies under a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the county.
