The California Supreme Court affirmed a judgment. The court held that drunk driver may be required, as a condition of supervised probation, to notify his or her probation officer 24 hours prior to acquiring any pets.

Alejandro Olguin pleaded guilty to driving with a blood alcohol level exceeding .08 percent. He was placed on supervised probation. One of the conditions of probation was that Olguin report to his probation officer his ownership of any pets.
