SAN FRANCISCO — Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger announced the appointment of 14 superior court judges throughout California on Thursday, including one in San Francisco.
Schwarzenegger’s elevation of Commissioner Bruce Chan filled one of San Francisco’s three judicial vacancies and marked the first time the governor has appointed a judge in the county since October 2006.
