SAN FRANCISCO — Lifelong Brobeck partner John Edward Sparks died early Feb. 25 after a long battle with cancer. He was 78 years old.
Sparks joined Brobeck, Phleger & Harrison in 1958 after earning his law degree from Boalt Hall School of Law. He specialized in antitrust and commercial litigation, and spent his career at Brobeck. He retired from the firm in 1996, but remained a member of the State Bar of California and continued to volunteer his legal services.
