The Second Appellate District affirmed a judgment. In the published portion of its opinion, the court held that the forced entry into the engine compartment of a car with the intent to commit a theft constitutes auto burglary.
Carl Henry was seen prying open the hood of a car using pliers or a wrench. The owner of the car later testified that she did not give anyone permission to open the hood of her car. She also testified that when she parked her car prior to this incident, its doors were locked.
