It took a Santa Clara County jury less than a day to find Superior Court Judge William Danser guilty of felony conspiracy and misdemeanor obstruction of justice. Jurors said the pattern of misconduct — Danser had intervened in at least 20 traffic matters for friends and acquaintances — made the decision an easy one. “If he would have fixed a ticket or two along the way, no one would have noticed. No harm, no foul. But the pattern was there,” said jury foreman Dennis Deisenroth.

Google Inc. filed papers for its mega IPO, and it came as no surprise that Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati was representing the search giant. Wilson had represented Google since Chairman Larry Sonsini incorporated the company in 1998. And David Drummond, Google’s director of corporate development and general counsel, was a former Wilson Sonsini partner. “I can’t imagine a better position to be pitching from,” said Weil, Gotshal & Manges partner Rod Howard. Google, based in Mountain View, said it planned to raise as much as $2.72 billion in its stock market coming-out party.
