The Second Appellate District affirmed an order. The court held that an anonymous tip which was corroborated by police officers’ observations provided an adequate basis for a suspect juvenile’s detention and Terry frisk.
Oxnard Police Officers Mora and Alva responded to a radio dispatch regarding a disturbance caused by two males. The dispatch stated that one of the males was possibly in possession of a handgun. Earlier that week, Officer Mora had responded to another call of a daytime shooting at the same location and had seized two guns.
