SACRAMENTO — In the wake of heavy lobbying by angry parents, lawmakers have authorized the state auditor to review family court operations in Marin and Sacramento counties.
State Auditor Elaine Howle was given the go-ahead last week to conduct an estimated four-month review of how the two courts use appointees, including mediators, investigators and children’s counsel, in custody cases.
