SAN FRANCISCO — Five lawyers, including former presidents of the bar associations of Alameda, Los Angeles and San Diego counties, were elected Thursday to the State Bar Board of Governors.

After the ballots were canvassed, the winners were Cheryl Hicks of Oakland, Clark Gehlbach of Roseville, Lowell Carruth of Fresno, Patrick Kelly of Los Angeles and Wells Lyman of La Mesa.
