SAN FRANCISCO — The weekend Municipal Railway crash in San Francisco that left nearly 50 passengers hurt is going to mean some hefty payouts from the city, according to local personal injury lawyers, some of whom have already begun to represent accident victims.

Matthew Davis , a partner at Walkup, Melodia, Kelly & Schoenberger, said Tuesday that he had taken on two passengers as clients and was in talks with four more. Other plaintiff attorneys said they expected to receive their first inquiries by the end of the week.
