The court of appeals affirmed judgments of conviction. The court held that the sealing requirements of the federal wiretap statute did not apply to call data content recorded from a wiretapped phone.
Law enforcement agents received a federal wiretap order for a telephone used for conversations among Rodrick Reed and others concerning the manufacturing and distribution of PCP. The calls intercepted included communications between an associate of Reed and George Williams. Execution of a series of subsequent search and arrest warrants resulted in the apprehension of Reed, Williams, Richard Johnson, and others.
