Twittering away at workers’ expense

The Republican “strategy” to kill SB 367, a measure which only can help our state’s furloughed workers, is nothing less than shameful (“Bill to shield ‘Furlough Fridays’ gets sent home,” Sept. 21). No wonder an unnamed spokesman for the Republican caucus could only refer to Minority Leader Dennis Hollingsworth’s Twitter page. Who would put their face on that sort of legislative maneuver? Apparently, the Senate minority leader and his party would rather twitter around than do the job they were sent to Sacramento to perform. Hollingsworth should unshield himself and explain why the people’s business on “all the important bills” had to be delayed. Is it really any more than a bruised ego? Hollingsworth, you and your obstinate caucus must stop blocking others from helping the people of California.
