SAN FRANCISCO — The unintended consequences of tons of government funding for electric cars? A stimulus package for Silicon Valley’s deal lawyers.

Mitchell Zuklie , a partner in Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe ‘s Menlo Park office, became the latest to help a client land a big loan from the Department of Energy. Zuklie represented Fisker Automotive Inc. as the Southern California hybrid car company received the promise of a $528 million loan last month courtesy of the Advanced Technology Vehicles Manufacturing Loan Program.
