SACRAMENTO — Want to help a trial court? Punch that accelerator!

That’s the idea behind Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger’s budget proposal to generate new money for the judiciary. As part of his annual budget unveiled Friday, the governor announced plans to slap lead-footers with big fines that would pour $337.9 million into local courts and courthouse security.
