Tesla Motors Inc. has secured a $465 million federal loan through the Department of Energy to build two manufacturing plants, with help from a Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati team lead by partner Andrew Hirsch .

This is the second DOE loan guarantee secured by Hirsch’s team in six months. The first was in September, a $535 million loan guarantee for Fremont-based solar panel manufacturer Solyndra Inc.
