SAN FRANCISCO — Hanson Bridgett has taken another step on the road to more centralized management built around industries rather than practice areas.

With the creation of a new real estate and construction section, announced by the 150-lawyer firm on Tuesday, it’s bringing litigators who focus on construction and shopping centers under one roof with transactional lawyers who specialize in real estate finance, construction and land use.
