SAN FRANCISCO — The biggest news about QuinStreet’s $150 million initial public offering wasn’t the lawyers who worked on the deal. It was the return of legendary Silicon Valley investment banker Frank Quattrone.

Quattrone, who advised QuinStreet, was working on his first IPO since fighting off government charges that he interfered with an investigation into shady practices at his former employer Credit Suisse.
