Executive Vice President and General Counsel Michael Newman, 60, leads a legal department of six attorneys and 16 support staff. Most of the attorneys are based in Irvine, but he also has attorneys in Albuquerque and Washington, D.C. His team handles a wide array of legal issues, including state and federal regulatory work, corporate securities matters, commercial transactions, labor matters and litigation. “We handle just about anything that comes in the door, but we are in a highly regulated industry so half of our work involves litigation and regulatory matters,” Newman said.
