The Second Appellate District reversed a judgment. The court held that a law enforcement officer who was dispatched to the scene of an accident owed the victims no duty in tort to summon medical assistance for them when they expressly disavowed being in need of such assistance.

A car drove off a highway and rolled over. The driver and all three passengers were intoxicated. The driver used a cell phone to call 911 and report the accident. He told the 911 dispatcher that neither he nor any of the passengers was injured.
