Cooley advised software company Perceptive Software Inc. in its $280 million cash sale to printer and copier maker Lexmark International Inc. The deal, announced May 21, is expected to close in the second quarter of 2010.

Lexmark is based in Lexington, Ky. Perceptive Software, headquartered in Shawnee, Kan., provides software in the higher education, health care and government arena.
