SAN FRANCISCO — A federal judge has dismissed a pay discrimination and retaliation lawsuit filed against the Administrative Office of the Courts by a former employee.
In granting the AOC’s request for summary judgment Monday, U.S. District Judge Marilyn Hall Patel said (.pdf) former labor negotiator Paula Negley didn’t prove that she was improperly paid less than a male colleague, David Wolf. In fact, Patel wrote, “Negley never received unequal pay for equal work because Negley and Wolf never engaged in equal work.”
