The California Supreme Court affirmed a judgment of conviction and penalty. The court held that the trial court did not abuse its discretion in ordering that a capital defendant wear an electric shock belt at trial after he brutally assaulted a trial court bailiff.
Patrol Officer Timothy Everts received a report about a robbery-murder which had just occurred at a nearby grocery store. According to the report, the suspects, one male and one female, were believed to be driving a compact dark green or blue Oldsmobile. Both were African-American, and the male was described as having dreadlocks.
