James Turner was a veteran whose Army service resulted in chronic back pain and posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Veterans Affairs (VA) psychiatrist Heide diagnosed probable PTSD and found that Turner had fair functional ability. Psychiatrist Aflatooni diagnosed PTSD and atypical depression.
