SAN FRANCISCO — Law school may teach aspiring attorneys how to litigate a court case or put together a major corporate deal, but it doesn’t always teach how to become a good manager and leader.
A two-day program hosted by the San Francisco Bay Area Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel aims to rectify that. Beginning Aug. 18, at the Hyatt Regency San Francisco Airport, The Executive Leadership Institute for Chief Legal Officers and Attorney Managers will teach rising in-house counsel the managerial skills they need to build successful corporate legal departments. Topics will include how to delegate, motivate or create a productive work environment.
