SAN FRANCISCO — King & Spalding is defending Google Inc. in Oracle Corp.’s patent and copyright infringement suit filed against the search engine giant on Aug. 12, according to court documents.
The suit, filed in federal court in San Jose, alleges that Google’s Android operating system for smart phones infringes seven Java patents and related copyrights. Oracle seeks unspecified damages and an injunction from a federal judge.
