SAN FRANCISCO — The same day Google Inc. said it’s simplifying its privacy policies last week, the search engine also said it would pay $8.5 million to end a class action over privacy issues related to Google Buzz, a social networking application.
Google was represented in the negotiations by Perkins Coie partners Susan Fahringer and David Burman. Both are commercial litigators based in Seattle.
