SAN FRANCISCO — Funny foreclosure papers could come back to bite banks even in traditionally lender-friendly California.
With the uproar over “robo” signers and inaccurate affidavits sweeping the nation in recent weeks, plaintiff lawyers up and down the state are looking into whether banks did more than play fast and loose with the technical requirements of foreclosure. And they are mulling individual law suits and class actions.
