Kamala Harris appears to have won the AG’s race, holding a thin 15,000 vote lead late Wednesday with all precincts reporting. There are still an undetermined number of late absentee and provisional ballots to be counted, but Harris predicted victory around 1:00 p.m. Wednesday.
What comes now is a scramble to replace her as San Francisco’s district attorney. The city’s mayor gets to name an immediate replacement, who would then stand for reelection as an incumbent next year.
