SAN FRANCISCO — San Francisco’s federal court is considering adopting a streamlined jury trial program for civil cases similar to an initiative set to begin in state court next year.
The idea — aimed at unclogging the docket and reducing the cost of litigation — is one of Northern District Chief Judge Vaughn Walker’s last initiatives as he prepares to leave the bench.
