SAN FRANCISCO — The parents of a young German tourist who was killed last year while riding his bicycle in San Francisco have filed suit, fed up with the county’s progress on the criminal prosecution of the driver and passenger of the Mercedes-Benz that hit him.

“The family is concerned about the pace with which this case is proceeding,” said their lawyer, Kevin Lancaster of The Veen Firm.
