SAN FRANCISCO — Two days after IP litigation heavyweight Henry Bunsow resigned from Howrey, firm chief Robert Ruyak flew out from D.C. for what he later said was a “candid discussion” with partners in Northern California.
He told them he had no plans to close offices here. But with competitors now in talks with some of the firm’s biggest rainmakers, that decision may no longer be up to him.
