The court of appeals affirmed a judgment of the district court. The court held that in the totality of the circumstances, a computer-stored nude picture of what appeared to be a minor girl that was labeled “www.nude-teens.com” established probable cause to issue a warrant to search a defendant’s computers.
Peter Krupa was residing in a home on a military base that belonged to an enlisted friend of Krupa, one Velasco, who was overseas. Military law enforcement officers went to the home to check on Velasco’s two minor children. The officers reportedly found that Velasco’s home was in complete disarray and were particularly concerned with the presence there of fifteen computers. The officers asked Krupa for consent to take the computers and he initially agreed.
