SAN FRANCISCO — Barry Bonds seemed to score another pre-trial win today as prosecutors cut several of the counts against him. But if he was truly looking to get on with the trial, as his defense team has recently claimed, the development could be grounds for a delay.

The third superseding indictment charges the ex-Giants star with four counts of lying to a grand jury and a single count of obstruction. That’s down from a total of 11 counts.
