SAN FRANCISCO — A federal judge ordered Howrey client O2 Micro International Limited to pay $339,000 in costs and potentially millions in attorneys fees after finding it engaged in litigation misconduct in a series of patent suits with Monolithic Power Systems Inc.
Lawyers from Latham & Watkins and Finnegan, Henderson, Farabow, Garrett & Dunner persuaded U.S. District Judge Claudia Wilken that O2 Micro had engaged in a “vexatious litigation strategy” against MPS, a San Jose-based semiconductor manufacturer.
