Deborah Ballati has been elected president of the American College of Construction Lawyers, making her the first woman to hold the position. She has been a fellow with the ACCL since 1997. Ballati, a partner in Farella Braun & Martel‘s construction and insurance coverage practice groups, received her J.D. from Hastings College of the Law in 1975.

Gov. Jerry Brown has appointed Carl “Chip” Robertson as a member of Hastings College of the Law‘s board of directors. Robertson also serves as a trustee and treasurer of the UC Hastings Foundation, and is a principal at Warland Investments. He graduated from Hastings in 1998.
