SAN FRANCISCO — Leaders of the California Judges Association have voted to create a political action committee that will raise funds for CJA members facing election challenges.
Details of the PAC’s formation are still being worked out, but the CJA’s executive board agreed last week to launch a fund-raising vehicle tentatively named Judges Supporting Judicial Integrity. The committee would be seeded with an estimated $5,000 in start-up money from the CJA and then solicit contributions from association members as well as bar associations and law firms.
