SAN FRANCISCO Howard Rice may not have offices across the globe, but that didn’t stop the 80-lawyer firm from handling a $53 million cross-border transaction for Japanese client Renesas Electronics Corp. and its U.S. subsidiary Renesas Electronics America Inc.
Partner Edward Deibert led a team of attorneys advising Renesas in the sale of a U.S. plant just outside Sacramento to Telefunken Semiconductors International, which is based in Germany. Announced March 30, the deal is expected to close in May.
