SACRAMENTO — The first hearing on the Trial Court Rights Act scheduled for Wednesday has been canceled as political maneuvering on the hot-button bill continues in the Legislature.

The bill’s sole policy review in the lower house will now take place in the Judiciary Committee, where it’s sure to face greater scrutiny by the chairman, Los Angeles Democrat Mike Feuer.
