The Fourth Appellate District affirmed a judgment of conviction. The court held that a defendant could not challenge on appeal the very instruction that he, through counsel, requested at his trial.

Following repeated visits and warnings over a six-week period, officers from the County of San Diego Department of Animal Services seized more than 90 animals from the residence of Manuchehr Riazati. The animals included rabbits, dogs, birds, guinea pigs, a chicken and a duck.
