The Second Appellate District denied a petition for writ of mandate. The court held that Lab. Code §226.7, which requires an employer that does not provide an employee with a meal or rest period to pay one additional hour of pay, permits up to two such premium payments per work day if the employer fails to provide both a meal period and a rest period.

United Parcel Service, Inc. (UPS), was sued in coordinated actions by numerous of its employees who sought compensation for, among other things, the alleged failure of UPS to provide meal and rest periods pursuant to Lab. Code §226.7.
