SACRAMENTO — Chief Justice Tani Cantil-Sakauye said all options are on the table for absorbing a $150 million budget cut passed by the Legislature today.

Those options could include courthouse closures, rolling worker furloughs and shifting money from statewide programs, she said. A presiding judges’ committee met by phone this morning to discuss ways to deal with the funding loss, and the Administrative Office of the Courts was preparing an informal survey of local courts’ possible strategies.
