Everything from the largest wall-mounted TVs to high-end smartphones transmits content in high definition today. Founded in 1995 and based in Sunnyvale, Silicon Image Inc. designs, markets and sells semiconductors and intellectual property that enable the distribution and presentation of HD content for consumer electronics, mobile, computer and other wired and wireless devices. Silicon Image also plays a key role in developing technology standards that guide the manufacture of many of those products. Silicon Image (Nasdaq: SIMG) has offices in China, Japan, Korea, Taiwan and The Netherlands. First-quarter revenues were $49 million.

Edward Lopez has been chief legal and administrative officer at Silicon Image since 2007. He’s split most of his career between law firm and general counsel work, focusing on the high-tech and medical device industries. Lopez also handles Silicon Image’s global human resources work and technology services organizations, and serves as the company’s chief compliance officer and corporate secretary. He reports to CEO Camillo Martino.
